Aditya Sarpotdar’s 2024 eerie comedic horror Munjya Movie, starring Sharvari, Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, and Sathyaraj, was shot in Hindi. The fourth film in the Maddock Supernatural Universe, produced by Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, is based on the legend of Munjya, which draws inspiration from Indian mythology and folklore.

Storyline:
Gotya, who subsequently became MUNJYA, fell in love with a girl named Munni, 7 years older than him, but her marriage was set with another guy. Gotya attempts to poison the man, but fails and is thrashed by his mother. Later, he attempts to execute black magic in a deep jungle, underneath a people tree by sacrificing his younger sister, but he fails again, and his sister defends herself.
During the subsequent fight, Gotya strikes his head on a tree trunk and dies. Later, he was cremated, but because he died 10 days before his Upanayana (thread ceremony), he transformed into a malicious demon named Munjya and continues to haunt the peepal tree, hoping to accomplish his goal of marrying Munni.

The Munjya movie is said to be a great entertainer and performance of all the actors are amazing and natural. The direction is top notch and director has maintain the pace of the movie in both half’s.
No vulgarity is used in movie, which makes it a great watch with family and friends. Munjya is a mix of horror and comedy, so, it will lack the horror part but it will keep you in grip till end.
