Kalki 2898 Ad Overview
Bollywood is set for an exciting year with the premiere of “Kalki 2898 AD” an ambitious sci-fi picture that promises to change Indian cinema. This film, directed by Nag Ashwin and starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, promises to be an exciting journey into a dystopian future.
“Kalki 2898 AD” release date is set on 27th June 2024 and promises to fascinate audiences with revolutionary storytelling, breath-taking graphics, and a unique combination of mythical themes and future tales.
The COVID-19 pandemic caused a year-long delay in Kalki’s manufacture, which was first disclosed in February 2020. in last, in July 2021, filming got underway in a futuristic set located in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City. Over the next three years, filming proceeded intermittently in many legs until it concluded in March 2024.
Kalki, one of the most costly Indian films, has a production budget of ₹600 crore (US$72 million). Santhosh Narayanan composed the film’s soundtrack, while Djordje Stojiljkovic handled the photography, Nitin Zihani Choudhary handled the production design, and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao handled the editing. The movie is slated to be the “Kalki Cinematic Universe“‘s inaugural installment.
What to Expect
Clearly, Kalki 2898 Ad is a multi starrer and a big budget film, with all the big names in the movie, including BIG B, Fans are expecting huge from the movie.
What we can see through its Trailor is that Bollywood is getting ready to make futuristic and science-fiction movies with VFX and Animations, which seems natural. Amazing landscapes, Costumes, futuristic vehicles and future ready weapons on Ancient themes, everything blends well.
Everything blends well, except ‘PRABHAS’, his expressions, dialogue delivery and acting doesn’t really go well with this movie. May be this is just us who think like this, but i have noticed this significant difference in the Trailor.
Before this, we have seen ‘ATTACK‘ starring John Abraham, which did an amazing job in this genre. But many Movies before and after Attack, failed miserably at using the VFX and animation together with real shoot and acting.
Concept and Storyline
According to Wiki, In 2898 AD, the desertified city of Kasi is now the only city known to exist, governed by a totalitarian elite commanded by god monarch Supreme Yaskin from a hovering inverted-pyramidal-megastructure above the city known as the “Complex”.
Set against the backdrop of ancient Indian Hindu mythology and a dystopian society, the plot spans millennia, from the events of the Mahabharata in 3102 BC, at the start of the Kali Yuga, to 2898 AD.
The story focuses around the coming of the mysterious figure Kalki, the tenth and last avatar of the Hindu deity Vishnu.
